We provide plain-language weather impact reports derived from official National Weather Service data to help restaurant, hotel, and venue operators understand how weather affects guest traffic.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account information — your name and email address, collected when you sign up via email, Google, or LinkedIn through our authentication provider (Clerk).
• Usage data — the cities and dates you search, and the reports you generate. This is used to enforce trial and subscription limits and to improve the service.
• Payment information — if you subscribe, your payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number. Stripe retains payment data under their own privacy policy.
• Technical data — standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This data is retained for a maximum of 30 days and used only for security and debugging purposes.

We do not collect physical location data, device identifiers, or any data from your social accounts beyond your name and email address.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Deliver weather impact reports for the cities and dates you request
• Enforce your free trial period and subscription status
• Process payments and send receipts via Stripe
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, subscription receipts, password resets) — we do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent
• Diagnose technical problems and maintain security

We do not sell your personal information to any third party. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

GuestFlow Weather relies on the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data:

• Cloudflare (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy) — website hosting, edge compute, and data storage
• Anthropic / Claude AI (anthropic.com/privacy) — AI-generated plain-language summaries of weather data
• National Weather Service / NOAA — weather forecast data (public domain, no personal data shared)
• OpenStreetMap Nominatim — city geocoding (only the city name you type is sent, no personal data)

5. Data Storage and Security

Your account data and saved reports are stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure, which operates data centers primarily in the United States. Cloudflare maintains SOC 2 compliance and industry-standard security practices.

We implement reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days.

6. Cookies and Tracking

GuestFlow Weather uses minimal cookies necessary for authentication (to keep you logged in between sessions). These are set by Clerk and are strictly functional — they are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party advertising trackers.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information in your account
• Delete your account and associated data at any time
• Export your saved reports at any time
